“Editor’s Choice”

Made from organically grown grapes, this impressive sparkler is made with no sugar or liqueur added. It has an expressive fragrance of white flowers and stone fruit, while the palate offers apple, citrus and roasted almond notes along with hints of spice. It’s a perfect apéritif but will also pair beauitfully with shellfish. —Kerin O’Keefe

Stefano was recognized by the publication for his “devotion to the territory,” its food products, and local culinary traditions.

It’s been quite a month for the Barone Pizzini-Pievalta group.

Beyond recent accolades for Pievalta’s flagship Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi San Paolo, the winery group also received the Italian Sommelier Association Bibenda Five Bunches (the organization’s top award) for the Barone Pizzini Franciacorta Pas Dosé Bagnadore Riserva 2006, not to mention the Gambero Rosso’s coveted Three Glass award for the Barone Pizzini Franciacorta Brut Nature 2009.

Not too shabby…
