The Art and Soul of Franciacorta

10

Top-quality still wine is made in the vineyard. Top quality sparkling wine is a work of art. Much like how art embodies the soul of the artist, Franciacorta embodies the soul of the vineyard. Barone Pizzini’s Animante, in particular, represents the soul of Barone Pizzini by embodying the living nature of its vineyards. It takes great skill to transform a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc into Franciacorta just as it takes great skill to transform paint and canvas into a work of art. Unlike most other wines, Franciacorta must be transformed not once, but twice to create the final product.

Each step, from vine to bottle, is a dance of delicacy and balance. After the grapes for Animante have been harvested and artfully blended, they are in fermented in stainless-steel tanks for 6 months. From there, the second transformation begins when the wine is bottled and refined for an additional 20-30 months on the lees. This delicate and lengthy process of creation leads to a sparkling wine that is incredibly smooth on the palate.

Experience the perfect blend of art and wine in the film F for Franciacorta.
