On Saturday, Barone Pizzini agronomists Pieluigi Donna and Isabella Ghiglieno led visitors on a tour of the Barone Pizzini vineyards and cellar followed by a guided tasting of some of the estate’s top wines.
There’s no better way to understand the science, art, and passion of winemaking than by spending time with the vineyard managers and grape growers.
Especially at a winery like Barone Pizzini, where all farming is organic (chemical free) and the wines are created with as little intervention as possible, the work performed in the vineyard is key to producing high quality wines that express the appellation and the people who make them.
The Barone Pizzini winery holds wine tastings and guided tours on a regular basis (reservations required).
You can find out more by visiting the winery’s website, where you can also sign up for the Barone Pizzini newsletter, the best way to stay up-to-date with upcoming events at the winery.
